BBC Bangla is a subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that provides news programming in the Bengali language. The service launched on 21 June 2002 with a live broadcast inaugurating the new London studios. Coverage includes national and international news, as well as reports from the BBC's bureaux in Delhi, Dhaka, and Kathmandu. BBC Bangla also airs documentaries, talkshows, and cultural programmes.
