The Manawatū Standard is a newspaper based in New Zealand. It was established in 1891 and has been providing news to the region ever since. The paper covers local, national, and international news with an emphasis on the Manawatū area. It also includes features such as sports coverage, opinion pieces, business updates and more.

The newspaper is published weekly on Thursdays with two editions – one for Palmerston North City & Districts (Manawatu) and another for Levin & Horowhenua Districts (Horowhenua). Both editions are printed from the same printing press located at its headquarters in Palmerston North City Centre. This allows readers to receive both papers quickly without delay or disruption of service due to weather conditions or other external factors that may affect delivery times elsewhere around New Zealand .

The Manawatū Standard strives to provide quality journalism by bringing together experienced reporters from all over New Zealand who have expertise across different fields so they can bring their knowledge into each story they write about current events happening locally as well as nationally throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand . With this approach it ensures that readers get accurate information delivered straight away so they can stay up-to-date with what’s going on around them while keeping informed of changes happening within their own community too!
