The Guardian Australia is an Australian online newspaper that was first published on 19 July 2013. It is owned and operated by Guardian Media Group and is based in Sydney. Theguardian.com/au is the website's Australian edition.

The paper has a left-of-centre editorial stance and is critical of the Liberal National Party government of Prime Minister Tony Abbott. Its first editor was Katharine Viner, who previously edited The Observer in London. In March 2016, Scott Morrison, the Minister for Social Services, announced that the Australian government would cease its annual $AU$ Guardian Australia funding.
